Wabi-Sabi
侘 寂
The objective of this project was to promote a sustainable lifestyle and to make second-hand shopping more attractive for a wider audience.

The concept
The concept was a fashion show that could be held at the Zürcher Brockenhaus. The fashion show is inspired by the Japanese aesthetic of wabi-sabi, which – in short – describes and celebrates the beauty of impermanence and imperfection. These little imperfections are beautifully represented in second-hand clothing and tell a story of their own waiting to be discovered by their next owner.
The final proposal was delivered as a handout with a description, the design system and mockups of potential print media. The handout follows the Japanese aesthetic and is read from right to left and is bound using a traditional Japanese stab binding.
